Surah Yunus, Ayat 49

Ayat 49. Say (O Muhammad  [SAWW](PBUH): "I have no power over any harm or profit to myself except what Allâh may will. For every Ummah (a community or a nation), there is a term appointed; when their term is reached, neither can they delay it nor can they advance it an hour (or a moment)."

Hazrat Ibn `Umar (May Allah be pleased with them) said: The Messenger of Allah  [SAWW](PBUH) said, "If Allah afflicts punishment upon a nation, it befalls the whole population indiscriminately and then they will be resurrected and judged according to their deeds.'' [Al-Bukhari Volume 9, Book 88, Number 224].

Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Yunus Ayat 48. ""When will be this promise (the torment or the Day of Resurrection)" When Allah's punishment comes to pass, it does not distinguish between the upright and the wicked. However, the pious people will be saved from punishment after their death while the wicked ones will be punished in the Hell. May Allah save us from all types of punishments.
